On-site messaging

Smartpay provides a range of different on-site messaging options that you can add to your website to make it clear to shoppers that you offer Smartpay as a service to them. Delivering the right payment message at the moment of consideration can increase both conversion and average order values.

The following guide is for Online Store 2.0 themes. If you are using an older theme, for example Debut, please follow our guide for On-site messaging - Vintage Themes.

Installation

Follow this link and click Add app to install the Smartpay On-Site Messaging App.


Product page promotion

Delivering the right payment message at the moment of consideration will increase both conversion and average order values. Use our payment messaging widget to show payment options based on item price or basket size. Place this below the price of an item to automatically display the best message.


How to add product page messaging to you shop

  1. Customize your online store theme
    (Online Store>Themes>Current Theme>Customize)
  2. Select your Product Page
  3. We recommend adding Product messaging under the product price in the Product information section
  4. Click Add block and select Product Messaging Smartpay On-Site Messaging
  5. Drag the block under the product price
  6. On the right hand side specify your Smartpay public API key
  7. On the right hand side you can configure styling options to make sure it fits your shop's style
  8. The price is automatically passed to the block and we display the correct installment amount without any extra setup

Sitewide

Use our top-strip to let shoppers know they can pay with Smartpay. Add these assets to all of your pages to catch the attention of shoppers and let them know you offer Smartpay as early as possible.


How to add top strip banner to your shop

  1. Customize your online store theme
    (Online Store>Themes>Current Theme>Customize)
  2. Select your Home page (or any other page you like)
  3. We recommend adding Strip Messaging just below the header
  4. Click Add section and select Top Strip Smartpay On-Site Messaging
  5. Drag the section just below the header
  6. On the right hand side specify your Smartpay public API key
  7. On the right hand side you can configure styling options to make sure it fits your shop's style

Smartpay FAQ

Help shoppers find the answers to their most commonly asked questions, with a Smartpay FAQ on your page. You'll reduce contacts to your customer service, by letting customers know how they can shop using Smartpay.


How to add Smartpay FAQ to your shop

  1. Customize your online store theme
    (Online Store>Themes>Current Theme>Customize)
  2. Select your FAQ page where you would like to add information about Smartpay
  3. Click Add section and select Smartpay FAQ Smartpay On-Site Messaging
  4. Drag the section to where you would like to
  5. On the right hand side specify your Smartpay public API key
  6. On the right hand side specify your brand name which is inserted to some of the answers within the FAQ
